Study Abroad

According to its website, the International Programs office was created at the Missouri School of Journalism in 1994 to manage the diverse array of international activity taking place within the school.  It offers programs for undergraduate and graduate students around the globe.  The International Programs Office seek to:
  • Provide students and faculty with international experience
  • Train and develop journalists from different countries
  • Strengthen journalism education around the world
  • Facilitate research on international media
The Europe Tour is one of the several short term programs the department offers.

According to its website, the University of Missouri's International Center works around the clock to raise international awareness, foster an appreciation for diversity, and help students understand their roles and responsibilities as world citizens.  The study abroad staff develops and administers quality education-abroad programs that help students gain appreciation and understanding of other nations and cultures and provides students with the skills needed to succeed in a global economy.  The International Center offers students studying abroad valuable advice on preparing for their voyage.

Missouri Abroad is a forum for study abroad students and other MU travelers to share professionally written and produced travel content for which audiences can engage and experience.

Written, produced and edited by Missouri students, Missouri Abroad staffers reach across borders to develop an international presence and correspondence among people around the world.

Though many of our contributors stem from the University of Missouri, we are independent of the university and its study abroad offices and programs.
